January 16th skillshare – Vegi 101 Cooking & Saving Energy

Friday, January 16th, 6-8:30 p.m. @ Hathaway’s Hideaway – 310 S. Ashley Just a few doors down from Fleetwood Diner!

Jeri Schneider of VegMichigan and Dr. Vanessa Marr, PhD, of Umoja Kitchen Project will demonstrate preparation of simple meat-free dishes using all plant-based ingredients. They will provide tips on easy substitutions, time-savers, and shopping to help you eat more sustainable, humane, and nourishing foods. If you would like to taste samples, please bring $3 for materials and RSVP by clicking “JOIN” on our Facebook event.

Energy Hour: Saving Energy for Renters

Struggling to find ways to make your household energy efficient? Energy Hour is an interactive, resident-led approach developed by the City of Ann Arbor to equip local renters to make personal changes and talk to their landlords about how to increase efficiency and decrease energy costs in rental housing. Local renters, Rob Luzynski and Julia Goodhart, will share the many ways that you have the power to create change.
