Girl meets world riley farkle
And they just brought Shawn back! Oh fine, judge me. Evil-ish ambitions of conquering the world. Fogelmanis is a very likeable actor, and his performances tend to be among the highlights of the average GMW episode.
Girl Meets World - S 2 E 15 - Girl Meets I Am Farkle
Lucas and Maya are far more interesting that Lucas and Riley but writers are stubborn and the Disney Channel doesn't strike me as a place where they're willing to deviate from the norm. I wish they'd just said that Corey is their homeroom teacher, then all of his life lessons could be explained without the need for academics.
Even the desk jumping wouldn't be that weird if it was a class where they're not held to a specific subject. They want it to end a certain way I don't think Maya would go there though. She just seems way to loyal to Riley and maybe it's just how the actors are and we're suppose to just think that one day when Riley and Lucas actually happens we'll see Lucas and Maya fight over her attention I guess.
Also I think Sabrina and Peyton probably work better because they are playing 2 or 3 yrs older than their characters and Rowan is playing her age and also they make Riley as neurotic as Cory was times Yea, good point.
That neuroticness makes me want to yell at my tv sometimes though :p. It gets old fast. I'd be patient - it took 10 episodes for the Dawson's Creek producers to even entertain the possibility of Joey and Pacey. Are you on board with Riley and Lucas? Or do you prefer Riley with Farkle? Maya and Lucas? Discuss the various ships of Girl Meets World. I haven't seen any indication that the writers are pushing Riley and Lucas. If anything, they seem to be pushing Maya and Lucas with all their flirting.
Wasn't there an interview with one of the writers or maybe Michael Jacobs who said not to assume when it came to pairings? I'll do some searching and post here if I find it. I don't think anyone's pushing anything. I do think the actors that play Lucas and Maya have more chemistry together, but that could be because they are playing relatively normal people and Rowan is absolutely playing the child of Cory Matthews.
He was just coming into this brand of crazy in college, but she's only a 7th grader and it's going full blast. This article on Fanbolt is mostly about what Michael Jacobs said about Shawn and Angela, but there's a little nugget buried in there about Riley and Lucas.
Are they happy? Remains to be seen. Is what becomes of them both satisfying? Hey, I'm not going to censor the conversation, but if we wanted to just generally ignore Auggie and Ava's existence, I'd be down for that. But, I could totally envision Riley ending up single at the end of the series. Growing up in a new World and discovering herself. He ends up being kind of like a mentor towards her. Maya does hold the Matthews clan to such a high regard.
So if she's in love with Riley in a completely platonic way, I can see her falling for someone like her, and if she's in love with Riley in what turns out to be less platonic and more 'you're the one I want to be with', then Lucas could still be the first step in sorting out those feelings. Have we just figured out their endgame?
I think we have! Lucas is "like Riley's brother," meaning he is "likely Riley. Maya seems to crush on people like Riley and is also a bit close to Riley herself jumping on her in bed, etc. Now if Disney allows this if it is indeed the endgame is the key question. No way this this has been built up since season one. I'm up for any other couple, anyone but Lucas and Maya, its just so wrong to me. I thought the url appropiate and it's basically what I thought and have posted, that romance would be taking a back seat to friendship.
Who hit Rowan in the face with that Clown stick for her makeup in the photo on that article? Tone it down, kiddo! Copying this exchange over from the latest episode thread, because I think long-term it's far more discuss-able here because the point being made goes beyond what happens in any one episode :. Probably right with Disney BUT it would fit their characters better. Well that or Farkle marrying both of them as ruler of the world. I don't know that it does fit their characters better.
While it would be nice to see a normalized relationship like that, it's also in a way a kind of unnecessary bit of posery to act like a close friendship has to wind up with a sexual component, regardless of the genders involved. There's nothing even vaguely sexualized in how the two interact, even in a proto-they're too young now-way. I perhaps could see the argument for making at least one of them bisexual which would at least explain them both at times showing signs of being boy-crazy , but BOTH of them being in that territory would just seem contrived.
Of the two, I suppose Riley is the one where her boy activities seem more contrived and feel less convincing--perhaps more about an ideal than physical--but even there it's just matters of degree, not anything that strong.
I'd love to see that, heh. It's clear he loves them both, but for different reasons. Combine the two and they probably make the perfect wife. ETA: Read the article linked above. Rowan is an incredibly intelligent, articulate young woman. Like Jodie Foster smart. Really impressive. I would love to see the series end with Maya and Riley realizing that their friendship is more powerful than any relationship with a boy. I don't get any romantic attraction from them, though.
I don't feel like them ending up together romantically would be anything more than a cheap ploy to show how progressive Disney is. In some instances, platonic love is deeper and more real than romantic love. The love that I feel for my best friend is very different from the love that I feel for my husband, but they are equally powerful to me.
We don't get to see enough powerful female friendships on TV, especially for young girls. To have a long-lasting female friendship that proves stronger than any relationships with boys is pretty progressive to me. I see it sometimes, the scene where Maya jumped on Riley in the bed recently stood out to me as well as all the episodes where they act like a couple. It messes with the flow way too much.
I don't see Maya and Riley as a romantic couple but as platonic life partners. They are basically Cory and Shawn as girls and their relationship was even more overt than Rileya. I think I like Mailey better as a shipper name. I actually wouldn't mind either couple but as much as I like Smackle, I would prob be happiest with Farkle and Riley Farley?
I loved the scene when he confronted about her burying her feelings for Lucas. A think a Minkus should be able to succeed at some point. I think Farkle and Riley will be together down the line. They kinda hinted at it during the Texas episode part 3. I think if Maya and Riley hooked up when they are lampshaded as having Cory and Shawn's type of relationship, that would raise questions as to why Cory and Shawn never made it official.
I think Farkle's permanent style makeover from Wolowitz on The Big Bang Theory to One DIrection member was strongly indicative of his status as a viable future romantic partner for either Maya or Riley. My money's on Riley. As much as Farkle has claimed to love both girls, and as much as he has a girlfriend, he's all about Riley in this last batch of episodes. Even though what Farkle did in the New Year's Eve episode was not cool, I loved it when Riley said that "If you really care about me, I know that you'll do the right thing," and Farkle responded with a quick, confident "I do.
And I will. I honsely don't like Maya and Lucas becuase, if they're saying that Riley and Lucas are like brother and sister, incorrect. I have a brother and make fun of him all the time, but possibaly Zane could have a chance with someone.
I know in the Girl Meets Texas episodes that he has a 'girlfriend' but the girl friend lives far, far away so its not that fair to him. If anyone agrees reply! Okay, I think that the show would take an interesting turn if Riley turned out as bisexual and starting going out with Maya. It's highly unlikely, I've seen very close best friends that act just like Riley and Maya, and they're not lesbians. I ship Lucaya because both are taking the time to let their relationship grow, Rucas just felt rushed tbh.
I also ship Riarkle because the two have obvious chemistry, and they've already said "I love you" to each other, even if it was just in a friendly way. Also, I find Rucas shippers very annoying not all, but most because they don't have good reasons why Riley and Lucas should be together. Rucas is too fake and has unrealistic relationship expectations that no one can relate to. That's just my opinion. That's nice and all, but it has come at the expense of character development and telling a coherent story.
Personally, I probably like Lucaya the least because despite the supposed "hints", it feels forced and took the show in a terrible direction and I think it's going to take a very long time for the writers to dig themselves out of this hole.
That and I have the unpopular opinion of not being amused by Maya bullying Lucas. I think this whole "triangle" is an issue only because Uriah Shelton was out on a injury glad he's feeling better , so they couldn't fit Josh in liked they wanted too.
In all honesty, I think what will happen with season 3 is we'll see Josh and Maya start a relationship, and Lucas will be with Riley for a while. I don't have a particular opinion about the ships other then I favour Lucas and Maya, because I really don't care who ends up with who.
The problem with focusing too much on who ends up with who is that it takes away from the story and the characters. Also, one thing I've found frustrating about this show is that it constantly overlooks the feelings of the male characters.
Girl Meets World has borrowed a ton of story lines from its predecessor, Boy Meets World , but one that's definitely brand new is the love triangle between Riley, Lucas, and Maya that's been raging since season two. Sadly, the love triangle in Girl Meets World has gone on for waaaaaay longer than one episode. But it finally came to an end on last Friday's episode and Lucas finally ended up "choosing" I use that word sooooo loosely — more on that later between Riley and Maya.
Farkle has had a crush on Riley since first grade, but she doesn't feel the same way and only considers him a close friend. In Girl Meets the Truth , Riley and Farkle shared their first kiss and although he mostly kissed her chin, they said it still counts. After, the events of Girl Meets Farkle it seems that Farkle has gotten over his crush on Riley the same goes for him and Maya as in recent episodes he isn't as affectionate as he used to be when the series started. They are considered to be close childhood friends and it is shown in some episodes such as " Girl Meets the Truth ", " Girl Meets Flaws ", " Girl Meets Texas Part 3 " that Farkle and Riley share a strong and deep bond.
‘Girl Meets World’ Reveals What Would Have Happened In Season 4
You should change the title of this post "Farkle Could Be Gay Just because a character is flamboyant doesn't mean that character is gay. That's pretty broad stereotyping. Otherwise a number of fan-shipped couples would have gotten married immediately. If it happens organically, and not because of fan pressure, fine, but the writers and producers should tell their own stories, not what people tell them to do. Who cares if he is gay or not. Shouldn't we just watch the show. And stop making rumors about a character no one likes theories.
Farkle is Gay, and That’s Okay!

While I agree with your write-up, I just can't agree with Farkle being below Lucas on this list. I mean, at least Farkle had character traits, and those were seen and used by the writers and they grew and morphed as the character did. Lucas has been the same piece of white bread for as long as the show has been on. I hope the reason Lucas is higher in your estimation isn't that he is Riley's boyfriend, because we just haven't seen it. I'd actually largely disagree with this.
I have tried hard not to fall for any potential Girl Meets World relationship. When the series started, Farkle's crushes on Riley and Maya were a cute running gag, but as Farkle matured, the more and more he and Riley seemed to click. These two characters get each other on a basic, intrinsic level that is so Cory and Topanga it hurts.
